A Little Of This
A Little Of That

SPRAY DISINFECTANT CLEANER: Use 1/2 cup borax to 1 gallon of hot water and mix until all soap has dissolved, put in spray bottle and  and use on countertops, cabinet doors, etc.

SINK AND TUB STAINS:  You can make a paste using cream of tartar and hydrogen peroxide instead of comet and such.

VINEGAR FOR BATHROOM CLEANING:  When you have soap film and mildew on your shower door and also in the tracks, you can use vinegar to remove them. Use vinegar full strength. Use REGULAR  vinegar.

SINK AND TUB STAINS 2: Mix borax soap with hot water to form a paste, then spread over tub, leave for about 15 minutes then you should be able to lightly scrub it and all should come out white.

CLEAN SILVER AND GOLD: You can use REGULAR TOOTHPASTE  and a soft cloth to make silver and gold shiny clean.

STAINS ON POTS AND PANS: Boil baking soda and water may take 15 to 30 minutes depending on the stain, may want to start with couple of teaspoons and if it isn't enough, you can add more.. Don't use a whole box because you will need the baking soda for other things.

BATHTUBS: If you have an extra can of coke, pour it in the tub and let stand for just a short while, it will make getting the stains out easier. There are many other uses for coke other than just drinking it...!!!

WINDOW CLEANER: Use 1 cup of  REGULAR VINEGAR and and 1 quart of water. It works well and does not have any chemicals to cause any harm

AIR FRESHENER:  Mix 1 teaspoon of baking soda, 1 teaspoon of  REGULAR VINEGAR . This will cause  foam in your container. Once the foamy stuff stops,  mix it well and put into a spray bottle. Instead of buying air freshener, spray your homemade air freshener. It will work well.

LAUNDRY ANTI-STATIC CLINGSome people will use it like you would if it was regular fabric softener, however, I use a little less cause I find if you get too much, when you sweat it will smell slightly of vinegar.

THERE'S MORE THAN YOU THINK. When you get to the bottom of your laundry soap that comes in the plastic jugs, you can add a little water and shake. It will give you a couple more wash loads.

LAUNDRY SPOT REMOVER:  Use approx. 1/4 to 1/2 cup of borax and 2 cups of water, mix well then take a sponge and  dab it on the spots.  Once the item is dry, wash it as you normally would. This works well with chocolate and coffee stains.  You can also clean blood stains and mildew.www.888CleanLA.com

LAUNDRY SPOT REMOVER:  A   great way to get rid of oil or butter from clothing and prevent it from staining.
All you need to do is sprinkle some dusting powder (talc) over the oil mark and leave over night, wash the garment as normal the following day. The Talc will draw all the oil out of the clothing and completely remove all trace. www.tipking.com

FRESH SMELLING DRAINS: A box of baking soda down the drain keeps your sink smelling fresh.  Be sure to tell your houseguests to smell your sink before they leave!

VINEGAR WILL PREVENT FADING: To prevent bright colored clothes from fading, try soaking it in white vinegar for 15 minutes or so. Then wash as usual.  Your colors will not bleed.

VINEGAR WILL CLEAN TOILET BOWLS:  Put one cup of White Vinegar in the toilet bowl and let it stand for 5 to 10 minutes.  Flush.  This should help remove stains and clean the bowl

CLEANING STOVETOPS:  Sprinkle non abrasive cleaner over your stove top. Cover with wet paper towels and let set for a while.  This should soften the cook spills and take less energy to scrub.

PREVENT MOTHS:  Place spearmint leaves in drawers that you are storing clothes in to repel moths

FLEAS IN THE HOME?:  To find out if you have fleas in your home, take a small bowl of water and put a few drops of dishwashing liquid in it.  Place bowl on carpet (where your pets cant drink it) and leave a light bulb shining just above it all  night.  In the morning you will find fleas have jumped into the bowl. Be careful not to let the bulb fall into the water.
